AfriForum further exposes Julius Malema to the world in new dossier
In an ongoing bid to take on Julius Malema’s murderous hate fuelled campaigns against white South African minorities, the civil rights organization AfriForum and the Southern Africa Agri Initiative (Saai) announced during a recent media conference that these organizations will continue the fight against amongst others, the “Kill the Boer” chant on the international stage by officially requesting countries worldwide to impose targeted sanctions against Julius Malema, leader of the EFF.
Afriforum working in conjunction with SAAI has now launched a detailed charge sheet against Malema, called “The Malema Dossier”. The Malema dossier, which will be distributed internationally provides a comprehensive account of, among other things, Malema’s hate speech, his incitement to violence, the serious allegations of corruption against him and examples of his statements in support of terrorist organisations and terrorist acts. The Malema dossier also contains a comprehensive report by Adv. Gerrie Nel, head of AfriForum’s private prosecution unit, and his team regarding the allegations of corruption against Malema.

- Why is maintaining public attention on Malema’s rhetoric important to AfriForum?

– “It almost people start forgetting … what has been said and done by extremists…”
– “One principle reigns supreme. Sunlight is the best disinfectant…”
- What specific hateful chants and rhetoric are highlighted in the dossier?

- Malema’s admission under oath that he cannot rule out calling for the slaughter of white people in the future.
- Statements portraying revolution as requiring armed violence—“a revolutionary is a walking killing machine.”
- Support for extremist slogans, land grabs, and violent overthrow of the government.
- How did Julius Malema respond under oath during the 2022 Equality Court proceedings?
Answer:

- He refused to commit that he would never call for the slaughter of white people.
- He affirmed his willingness to use violence or arms “when conditions on the ground necessitate.”

- He remained unmoved by the testimony of a farmer whose wife was murdered and who was injured himself, responding “No, I’m not moved” multiple times.
- What examples of extremist or violent rhetoric are cited aside from the court case?
Answer:
- In 2018, Malema stated, “We are cutting the throat of whiteness.”
- In 2019, he shared a quote from Robert Mugabe: “The only white man you can trust is a dead white man…”
- In 2020, he dismissed farm murders as nonexistent.
- He has encouraged illegal land occupations, arguing white people have no legitimate claim to land.

Answer:
The dossier includes documentation and research on alleged corruption linked to Malema and the EFF, covering:
- The On Point scandal (fraud and corruption),

AfriForum even suggests these may qualify for the application of the international Magnitsky Act due to illicit enrichment, misuse of public funds, bribery, and money laundering.
- What tangible international consequences have already emerged?
Answer:
In 2025, the UK government rejected Malema’s visa, citing statements calling for the slaughter of white people and the Equality Court testimony as reasons for refusal.
